Beach/Lake Day Outfit Ideas

There is seriously nothing better than a beach or lake day in the middle of Summer. My favorite outfit to toss on over my bikini is a pair of sweat shorts and a big loose graphic t-shirt. May be bias, but the Vinyl Studio has some of the cutest tee options in my opinion. It is comfy, easy to take on and off, and doesn’t bother me if it gets wet. If I am wanting to go for a “dressier” beach look, I love a simple crochet dress cover up (tons of options) or denim shorts with a loose long sleeve linen shirt. These are both great options if you plan on hitting up a lake or beach restaurant and want to look a bit more presentable. As for accessories, you always wanna pack something that protects your eyes and face from the sun. I love throwing on a foam trucker or trendy bucket hat- one that matches the outfit of course. These not only make it look like you tried a little, but your skin will thank you later. And don’t forget your fav pair of sunnies (quite literally nothing worse than leaving these at home).

Shoes- gotta say you can’t go wrong with a pair of slides or simple sandals. I have a tendency to spill, lose, or flat out ruin my shoes on the boat, so I love a good pair of cheap target shoes that I won’t mind if something happens to them. I also love the new lululemon cushion slides they recently came out with- super comfy and practical. Just don’t forget sometimes rubber can shrink after many hours in the sun (learned that the hard way). Lastly, don’t forget to pack a big ole comfy crewnneck or hoodie if you plan on staying out when the sun goes down. Keeps you from getting chilly and creates maximum comfort after a long day. Once again, TVS has oh so many cute and unique options to choose from.
